This traditional Art Nouveau villa was built between 1910 and 1912, by an Austrian architect, and was used as a summer residence by its original owners. After our family acquired the Villa, we devotedly and lovingly modified parts of it, in order to make it become a hotel.

Three generations of the Vianello family have continued to develop and modernize various aspects of the Villa, but at the same time managed to maintain the original flair and characteristics of it, dating back to the times of the Austrian Emperor Kaiser Franz Joseph. The Villa Reale is located in the pedestrian area and main center of Grado, directly in front of the beach. It is one of the very few places located in the city center, which is surrounded by gardens.

It is of course possible for our guests to arrive by car, since we have a private parking place enclosed in our green park.

The Villa Reale offers its guests all the comforts of a modern hotel of our times. We have free Wifi, internet connection and a laptop, which are available for all our guests. When entering the main hall of the Hotel Villa Reale, one feels like suddenly entering another period of time, and going back to the end of the 1800´s. Many paintings, doors, the central staircase and the furniture have all been kept the same, in order to maintain the original flair and characteristics of the Villa. All the rooms are equipped with private bathroom, air conditioning, flat-screen television, telephone, minibar, safe, bathrobes, house-shoes and hair driers. The size of the beds is: 2x100cmx200cm.

We have suitable rooms for parents with two or more children and also connecting rooms, giving you as much space and freedom as you need. Since we are a very children-friendly hotel and we value our “small guests”, we have different kinds of discounts for them (even up to 100%), depending on the age of the child.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all served outside in our garden. In case of rain or unsuitable weather conditions, which is rarely the case though, the meals will be served inside the hotel. Since we would like our guests to enjoy all comforts and have a relaxing vacation, we do not have a buffet with self service, but instead serve all our guests at their table. Our staff is more than happy to assist you in case you have any special requests.

You will be able to chose from a broad variety of seasonal, fresh and regional foods. Our usual breakfast menu, for example, includes boiled or scrambled eggs, various kinds of Italian ham and cheese, fresh fruit and juices, yogurts and coffee. The three meals include food which comes directly from the Friuli-Venezia-Giulia region. We often serve very typical dishes that are originally from Grado.Of course, if our guests have any special requests or wishes, such as grilled sea bass and shrimps, sea shells and lobster, we are always more than happy to prepare these delicious dishes for them. Our cuisine also offers special meals in case one suffers from allergies, or follows a vegetarian, vegan or any other special diet. Our wine cellar offers a wide range of regional and exquisite wines.

We give all our guests the freedom to chose whether they want to take full board, half board or only breakfast, day by day.

Mario and Sabine Vianello direct the Hotel Villa Reale in the family´s third generation. The Hotel Villa Reale has always been proud to be a family business with a long tradition and history. We particularly value our “small guests”, since we believe that when children feel comfortable and at ease, their parents will be able to enjoy a pleasant and relaxing vacation too. Many of our guests have been coming for years and generations to us. Since the Villa Reale is a small hotel, we have the chance to personally take care of every single guest.

Our staff is always happy to satisfy all of your wishes and special requests. The rooms are cleaned twice a day, we offer a washing service and have two big gardens in which your children can play and enjoy the summer. If you like to book a cabin with lounger and umbrella at the beach, we can do that for you.

We do not work with any travel agencies or online booking websites, since we are a small family business and we deeply value individuality, tradition and personal contact with our guests.
